Hello again and welcome back to the blog. Back in December Daniel Wellington contacted me about being part of their boxing day campaign. This meant that I got a watch and an extra watch band in exchange for posting Instagram pictures and mentioning them. At first it seemed too good to be true because at that time I was around 9000 followers and didn't truly see myself as an influencer or someone that a brand would use for influencer marketing. So needless to say, I was stoked.
I chose the Classic Durham watch with the black and brown straps. (The link will be at the bottom if you want to pick one up for yourself, use the code "ETHANG" for 15% off)
So far I've loved having my Daniel Wellington and despite thinking that I was going to only wear this when I was a bit more dressed up, because it is classier than my other watches, I've found it to be very versatile and I wear it all the time. I've been pairing it with a button down plaid shirt and chinos, big hoodies on more casual days, and with a dress shirt and knit crewneck sweater (I'm big on layering this year, if you couldn't already tell from my last post). If you're in the market for a new watch or have a gift to get someone, check out the Daniel Wellington website for some inspo.
Whats up everyone, friends, peeps, fam... okay maybe that last one was a bit too much haha. But in all seriousness, welcome to the blog. As some of you may know- those who've followed me long enough to know that- I used to have a full-on blog so writing to you isn't that new to me. But this time it is different.
This time, the blog is going to be more fashion and style oriented. If you follow me on Instagram you know that I have always been interested in style and clothes, and I'm aiming to put up a post on here once a week that will hopefully give you a bit of a more photo oriented look at what goes on inside my head and my closet. So without further ado, here is my take on Winter Shearling.
I have been searching for a bomber/aviator style shearling coat. A lot of people are very against clothes made with genuine animal fur or hides for many reasons, and I kinda agree. So I have been looking for something faux, which saves some money, but also something that I haven't seen on anyone yet- something a bit more unique. I picked this piece up at Zara which usually means everyone and their brother has it, but I lucked out and haven't seen anyone with it and it was the end of "season" so it was on sale!
I've been loving it paired with a large knit sweater or plaid shirt underneath, some dark wash/black jeans, and a pair of chelsea boots which are sure to get you through this slushy, snowy winter.
